All give some, but some give all. America’s soldiers deserve all the respect they receive, and our fallen soldiers deserve all the reverence.
In Honor of Mathew A. Snyder
Snyder enlisted in the Marine Corps in 2003, just after graduating high school, and was killed in action in 2006.
Many remember Snyder for his funeral in 2006, which was protested by the Westboro Baptist Church. A subsequent lawsuit went all the way to the Supreme Court.
A Dedication to a Fallen Soldier
What was lost in all the publicity and craziness surrounding the funeral, was the fact that a soldier died. His family was trying to mourn their loss, yet were put under the spotlight. As a way of honoring Lance Cpl. Snyder, Delegate Shoemaker dedicated the Westminster stretch of Md. 97 to him.
