Whether you’re looking for something fun to do for Halloween, or you just love the taste of freshly picked berries, Glade Link Farms is the place to be this fall. Though strawberry and blueberry season are over for this year, there is a ton of fun to be had around the farm. Let’s take look at what Glade Link Farms has going on for the rest of 2018!
Fresh Fall Crops
Starting in mid-September, there are a ton of crops that you can check out on the farm. On Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, from 9am to 5pm, you can pick pumpkins, broccoli, turnips, cauliflower, lima beans, collards, winter squash, and other autumn favorites. You may also find blackberries and fresh cut flowers until November.
If you’re looking to swing by on Saturday or Sunday, they’ll be open between 9am and 5pm as well.
It is recommended that you bring your own picking container, though they do have some for sale if you forget to bring your own. They advise against bags and highly approve of hard-sided containers for the health of the berries while you transport them.
Please also keep in mind that pets are not allowed on the picking adventure. Children, on the other hand, are more than welcome! Please keep in mind that they only accept cash or check for their wares. For checks, you will need a valid ID, address, and telephone number. Starter checks will not be accepted.
If you have questions about their crops or anything else, you can contact them on their website or sign up for their newsletter!
Home Grown Hay Days
On Saturday, October 20th and Sunday, October 21st, head on over to Glade Link Farms for their special harvest event, Home Grown Hay Days. During the weekend festivities you can enjoy hayrides, face painting, scarecrow making, and pumpkin decorating!
Pumpkin decorating will only cost you the price of the pumpkin and you can cut the cost of the scarecrow decorating if you bring your own pair of pants, long-sleeve shirt, and pantyhose to the event.
They Do Weddings Too!
Though there is never a bad time for fresh flowers, there are certain times of our lives that absolutely require them. Weddings are one of them and Glade Link Florals does not disappoint.
Their flowers are grown onsite and though they can certainly slay a wedding, they can handle just about any event that you may need flowers for.
