Halloween is still a ways off, but that doesn’t mean that you have to wait for haunted attractions and thrilling corn mazes. In fact, Carroll County is one of the best places to go to find waves and waves of corn. We’re very proud of our agricultural heritage here.
So, let’s take a look at some of the amazing places you can go in Carroll County to find corn mazes and the like!
Carroll County’s official corn maze can be found at the Carroll County Agricultural Center. This maze will not open until October 4th, but don’t worry. You can visit it until November 11th.
Admission will run you $10 for adults and $5 for kids. In previous years, the themes for their corn mazes have centered around agricultural and patriotic themes. It should also be noted that weekend hours will also include a variety of family fun events.
The theme for this year’s Cornfusion Maze is “Secret Agent”. What’s exciting about this maze, other than the name, is that it is already open! Cornfusion opened its doors on September 15th and their website highly recommends coming in the first two weekends for specials and more room to breathe.
Along with their corn maze, there are also games, campfires for rent, a gift shop, the wagon wheel cafe, apple cannons, a pumpkin patch, and much, much more.
You can take a look at their gallery page for photos of their previous mazes. The themes ranged from trains to Alcatraz. You can flip through the gallery here.
You can run the maze during the day or at night with a flashlight for a little more spooky fun. You are encouraged to bring your own flashlight, but there will be some for sale if you forget yours at home.
Opening this weekend, the corn maze & pumpkin patch will we ripe for exploration at Char-Lene Farm. Every year they create their corn maze in honor of people who inspire them. Their theme for this year is dedicated to a young girl named Kaisy Knott who lost the battle against DIPG, a rare form of brain cancer. One dollar per every ticket sold will donated to the fight against DIPG, in KK’s memory.
Along with their amazing corn maze, they also have a smaller maze for children, a pay area, a petting zoo, obstacle course, and a hayride. To learn more about their hours and pricing, click here.
