September 29th will mark the next installment in the annual Maryland Microbrewery Festival. From 11am to 6pm, check out the best of Maryland’s microbrews! There will be a ton of awesome breweries in attendance, so come on down to the Union Mills Homestead for a day of fun! Tickets for tasting the brews will be $20 in advance and $25 at the door. Designated drivers can get in for $5 and children under 12 are free.

Tons of Awesome Breweries!

Maryland has been gaining some series ground in the microbrewery world. Thanks to companies like Flying Dog, Raven Beer, and other notable companies, the word is out about Maryland’s awesome craft beer scene. At the microbrewery festival, some of the best beers in Maryland will be available for tasting and enjoying!

Bring the Whole Family!

Even if you’re not much of a beer drinker, there are still a few things that you can do at the festival. There will be live music for you to enjoy from bands like Arrow Horse Bluegrass, Gravy, and Bootleg.

You can also check out a nice blend of crafts and vendors that will be selling their wares during the festival. There will be chocolates, jewelry, barrel-infused cigars, animal rescues, and more!

It should be noted that pets are permitted at the festival if they are leashed and well-behaved. Large crowds can be very stressful for dogs, so pay close attention, and make sure they’re comfortable.

Home Brewers Have a Chance to Shine!

For those of you who enjoy brewing beer at home, this is your time to really show your stuff. Along with beer tastings, there will also be a home brew competition. The event is hosted and sponsored by Buffalo Wild Wings and the winning beer will brewed commercially by DuClaw Brewing Company to be distributed by Buffalo Wild Wings in Maryland.

Only beer is allowed during the festival, no wines or ciders will be judged. You can also brew a sour beer, but it cannot win Best in Show.Ā  So, if you have a passion for home brewing, this is your chance to be recognized for your efforts.

Brewing Presentations All Day Long!

Have you ever wanted to get involved in homebrewing, but you’re not sure how to get started? There will be two presentations for people interested in the hobby, “Basic Homebrewing” and “More Advanced Homebrewing — Brewing from Scratch”. The beginner presentations will take place at 11:30am and 2:30pm. The advanced ones will take place at 1pm and 4pm.
