No fall season is complete without visiting an Oktoberfest. Thankfully, for those of us who live in Carroll County, there is an amazing Oktoberfest going on its seventh year. The event will take place over the course of one epic weekend, so mark your calendars for October 6th and 7th!

What’s Going on at the Festival?

The Food!

At the Rotary Oktoberfest of Carroll County, you’ll find all kinds of food, drinks, and more! The food at the event will be from Old World Catering by Salernos and will include classic German favorites like Bratwurst, Baurenwurst, Knockwurst, Saurkraut, German potato salad. Enjoy some red cabbage, also known as “Rot Kohl” and then an assortment of German cakes.

The Beer!

If you’re looking for beer, then you’ve come to the right place! The beer will be provided by Dog Beverage Company and will include special, limited beers. If you’re familiar with Pub Dog, then you’ll be right at home. There will be a Rotary Oktoberfest brew, a Karroll Kolsch, and an Essen Wheat.

The Football Tent!

The organizers of the Rotary Oktoberfest don’t want you to miss the big game while you enjoy their festivities, so they’ll be setting up a football tent that you can check out throughout the day. Big screens, comfortable seating, and plenty of pig skinned fun will be yours to enjoy!

The Music!

There will be live music throughout the weekend for you to enjoy from noon to seven on Saturday and noon to five on Sunday. Some of the acts that will be there include The Maryland Accordion Club, Shippensburg Blaskapelle, Die Immergrun Musikaten, and more!

The Games!

Hosted by the Southern Carroll Corn Hole League, there will be a corn hole tournament on Saturdfay. Registration is at noon and the games begin at one. There will also be a variety of prize wheels around the festival to spin and win! Do a barrel roll, while you’re at it!

The Shopping!

Local vendors will also be setting up shop throughout the festival where you can pick up some awesome loot. Lularoe, Origami Owl, San Jer Scents, Silver Girl Sterling, The Nut Lady, Advantage Internet Marketing, and others will all be there for you to meet.

For the Kids!

Though Oktoberfests are usually centered around beer, this will be a family-friendly event. Kids can decorate pumpkins, make scarecrows, and have their faces painted. There will also be a special raffle and chicken dancing contest! So get ready to shake those tail feathers!
