The Maryland Wine Festival is one of Maryland’s most exciting events, and this year it’s celebrating its 35th anniversary.
And this year is shaping up to be memorable.

Entertainment All Weekend
The festival will take place the entire weekend from 10am to 6pm September 15th and from 11am to 5pm on September 16th.
And there will be live entertainment for the entire time.

A Creamy Cheese Pavilion
If you’re a cheese lover, then the festival will have all you want and some more.
They have an entire pavilion dedicated to cheese, filled with all different kinds!

Which Experience Do You Want?
The Wine Festival offers several different tickets and ticket packages, so you can experience it in any way you desire.
The Explorer Pass
The explorer pass gives you the complete Wine Festival experience, giving you:
- A commemorative 16 oz tasting glass, with sampling
- Over 40+ additional exclusive wines
- Access to Hilltop Hangout
- Bottled Water
- Private restrooms
- Participation in the 6th Annual Free State Throwdown (a blind tasting competition)
Presale costs $50 for Saturday and $45 for Sunday. The at the gate prices are $55 and $50 respectively.
The Explorer Pass (Designated Driver)
An Explorer Pass Designated Driver ticket is required to access the Hilltop Hangout. If you’re the designated driver for an Explorer Pass ticket holder, then you must have a DD Explorer Pass to accompany them to the Hilltop Hangout.
The pass costs $20 in presale and $25 at the gate.
General Admission comes with a commemorative wine festival glass, with sampling, along with access to the festival.
The Saturday and Sunday presale tickets cost $30 and $25 respectively, and $35 and $30 at the gate.
Designated Driver and Children
All designated drivers and children aged 13-20 will require their own ticket. Children 12 and under do not require a ticket, when accompanying a paying adult.
These tickets cost $15.
