The  Humane Society of Carroll County is located at 2517 Littlestown Pike, Westminster, Maryland 21158. When you visit this amazing facility, you will find adorable animals who are in need of adoption and care.

However, there are many other services that the Humane Society offers beyond adoption. Let’s take a look at what’s going on with the Humane Society of Carroll County!

Keeping the Animals of Carroll County Safe and Healthy

One of the most important functions of the Carroll County Humane Society is to provide important educational services for the community. For example, they offer dog training resources for dogs and their owners. They also offer helpful resources for people who are having difficulties with their dog’s behavior.

The goal of the Carroll County Humane Society, as it is with every humane society, is to ensure that the animals within their jurisdiction are not only adopted, but properly cared for. Even if you’re already the proud owner of a dog or cat, there are still great opportunities for you to learn from the CCHS.

Find Your Furever Friend!

Another one of the primary functions of the Humane Society of Carroll County is to provide a temporary home for animals in need. They also provide medical and behavioral care for these animals.

As of right now, there are dogs, cats, and two rabbits available for adoption through the Humane Society. There is also a short list of stray animals that have been found, so check them out. This is where you would find a pet that had run away, so keep that in mind if they get out in the future.

It’s a Party with the Humane Society

Along with education and adoptable friends, the Humane Society also hosts awesome events throughout the year. One really cool event is called “Woofstock.”

Woofstock is an awesome, one day only celebration of all things dog! The event takes place at the Ruhlman Brewery in Hampstead, MD from 11am to 7pm. This past year, tickets were $10. All leashed pets are welcome to join in on the fun, but retractable leashes are not permitted. Though it has already passed for the year, you can start making plans for next year’s!

Though you’ve already missed Woofstock, there are plenty of other cool things to do. Coming up this weekend, for example, there will be Cat Yoga at 1pm on the 11th of August.

On the 15th of August, you can join the Carroll County Humane Society’s finest felines for Catknits. Knit or crochet with some furry friends from 1pm-3pm!
