Westminster, MD, Thursday, April 26, 2018 – This morning, Mr. Ted Zaleski, Director of Management andBudget, presented the final proposed Fiscal Year 19 Budget to the Board of County Commissioners.

Mr. Zaleski will now hold a series of community meetings to review and explain the Proposed Budget. These sessions are open to the public. These meetings are currently scheduled as follows:

Thursday, April 26 7:00 pm Westminster Library
Tuesday, May 1 7:00 pm Eldersburg Library
Wednesday, May 2 7:00 pm Mount Airy Library
Thursday, May 3 7:00 pm Taneytown Library
Tuesday, May 8 7:00 pm North Carroll Library

The Community Meetings are followed by a Budget Public Hearing which will be held on Tuesday, May 15th at 7:00 pm at the Carroll Community College, Scott Center Auditorium.
Additional Budget Work Sessions may be held by the Commissioners to make any modifications to the proposed budget based on the information received during the Budget Public Hearing. These work sessions are tentatively scheduled for Tuesday, May 22nd and Thursday May 24th.

The budget is scheduled for adoption on Tuesday, May 29th in Room 311 of the County Office Building.

Budget Community Presentations are not televised or live-streamed. The Public Hearing, Work Sessions and adoption during open session are open to the public and will also be broadcast on Comcast Channel 24 and streamed live on the county website. Meetings will be held in the County Office Building, 225 N. Center Street, Westminster, MD, unless otherwise noted.
