Carroll County State’s Attorney Brian DeLeonardo has been asked to chair a new council that is tasked to help reduce crime in the state. The new council is meant to help provide guidance to law enforcement agencies and other aiding groups in their fight to reduce violent crime.
Governor Hogan has created this council in response to the elevated crime rates and violent crime rates. This has included raised homicide rates and gang related activities in Baltimore. Governor Hogan has condemned the crime rate and is set on making Maryland a safer place to live.
