Deputies will be on the lookout for impaired drivers all over Carroll County this weekend, as 2016 draws to a close. The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office is holding nighttime DUI saturation patrols Friday, Dec. 30, Saturday, Dec. 31; and Sunday, Jan. 1.
While drivers under the influence of alcohol or drugs are the primary focus, deputies say they will be watching for other safety violations on the roads as well. This means that extra deputies will be on duty for these patrols.
Residents are encouraged to plan ahead if their New Year’s Eve plans include gatherings where alcohol will be served.
