Johanssons’s Dining House and Restaurant
The oldest brewery on this list, Johansson’s is a well-known establishment in the city of Westminster, MD. Johnansson’s Dining House and Restaurant is not just a local craft brewery, they also offer casual and fine dining in addition to on- and off- site catering. The three beers always on tap at Johnanssons are Hoodle Head IPA, Whistle Stop Amber, and Honest Ale.
Pub Dog Brewing Company
Pub Dog opened in 2001 in Federal Hill, Baltimore, MD where it quickly became well known for its delicious pizza and craft beer specials. Pub Dog expanded operations in 2006 by opening their brewery in Westminster, MD in anticipation of future expansion with a new restaurant in Columbia, MD and selling their craft beers in local Maryland retail stores. The Pub Dog Brewery in Westminster, MD is located where the old Clay Pipe brewing company was located at 1203 New Windsor Road, Westminster, MD 21558.
Ruhlman Brewery, LLC
The newest brewery in Carroll County, MD, Ruhlman Breweries was built on a 36-acre farm in rural Carroll County. The brewery uses the “Our Ales” brand when referring to their brewery because they want everyone to feel part of their local brewery. A trip to Ruhlman Brewery is a true adventure because in addition to serving up local Carroll County micro-brews, they also have one of the few disc golf courses in Carroll County.
