On May 10th, 2016, Corporal Jeremy Holland and Master Deputy Worthy Washington were honored by the Maryland Homeland Security Educational Alliance at the first annual Student Showcase and Ceremony of Appreciation. Deputies Holland and Washington are among the 21 individuals recognized for their contributions to the growth of homeland security education in Maryland.

Fourteen Maryland Counties currently participate in the Maryland State Homeland Security Emergency Preparedness high school curriculum, which prepares students for futures in Homeland Security and Public Safety careers. The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office is proud to be a participant in this program, building future leaders in the public safety industry.
